Prepared by BC Stats in partnership with Western Economic Diversification Canada and the British Columbia Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development. This report answers some common questions about the role of small business in BC through both an examination of trends in growth and comparisons with other provinces. Key indicators addressed in this report include the number of small businesses, growth in employment and earnings, small business economic impacts, industry distribution, and the role of small business exporters. Statistical information was prepared by BC Stats from data provided by Statistics Canada.

Emergencies and disasters can occur at any time without warning. The more you are prepared for them, the better you will be able to act, minimizing panic and confusion when an emergency occurs.
