To be inducted at the Surrey Board of Trade’s 52nd Annual General Meeting and Chair’s Dinner on June 15th at Eaglequest Golf Course from 5:30-8:30pm is the new Chair of the Surrey Board of Trade, Dr. Greg Thomas. He will serve a one-year term from June 16, 2016-June 2017. Dr. Thomas will be the 53rd Chair of the Surrey Board of Trade. This is a high profile volunteer position that positively impacts Surrey’s business community at all levels of government, focuses on economic development and advances the success of the Surrey Board of Trade.
Dr. Greg Thomas is the President and CEO of G3 Consulting Ltd. (G3), an environmental engineering firm based in Surrey BC. G3 conducts environmental effects and human health studies on domestic and international projects. G3 is a recognized leader in innovative science and technologies used to address complex scientific problems. Dr. Thomas is an expert witness for the federal government, private firms and provides expert advice worldwide. Dr. Thomas is also the Chair of the Surrey Board of Trade International Trade Team, serves on the Environment Committee and Indigenous Affairs Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on several additional scientific and business committees.
Richard Dendy, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer of A&A Customs Brokers Ltd., an established 36-year old trans-border logistics company, will be inducted as the 1st Vice-Chair.
