The Surrey Board of Trade is pleased to announce the appointment of SBOT Board Chair Dr. Greg Thomas to the Abbotsford International Airport Authority Board of Directors for a term of 2 years. He will provide advice and ambassadorship to the Abbotsford International Airport. The Abbotsford Airport Authority members are appointed by the Mayor/Council from the City of Abbotsford. The Authority strives to secure air transportation services for the Fraser Valley; develop Airport lands for aerospace or other aviation-related industry or complementary commercial ventures that conform to the Airport’s Land Use Plan; and operate and develop the Airport to enhance the economic objectives of the Region.
Dr. Gregory Thomas is President and CEO of G3 Consulting Ltd., an environmental engineering firm based in Surrey, BC. G3 conducts environmental effects and human health studies on domestic and international projects and is a recognized leader in innovative science and technologies used to address complex scientific problems. Dr. Thomas provides expert scientific advice world-wide on a variety of complex environmental and human health topics. Dr. Thomas is currently Chair of the Surrey Board of Trade, Chair of the SBOT International Trade Committee, Member of the SBOT Environment Team and currently sits on the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Environment and Natural Resources Committee & Indigenous Affairs Committee and a variety of other academic and business committees.
