Surrey, B.C. – On Thursday, September 15th, the Surrey Board of Trade will present four winners with the Surrey Environment and Business Awards. The awards are presented to Surrey Board of Trade members or Surrey-based businesses that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to environmental leadership and/or issues. The award recipients are guided by a sense of respect for the environment and demonstrate this initiative consistently.

A new Circular Economy Award will also be presented this year to one of the nominees above. The winner will have demonstrated that they re-invent, re-think and re-define how they use materials. They will have kept resources in use for as long as possible, extracted the maximum value from them while in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life.
The Surrey Board of Trade will announce the winners of the awards at its 10th Annual Surrey Environment and Business Awards Luncheon event featuring Mike McNaney, Vice-President, Environment, Fuel and Government Relations, WestJet. Attendees will be entered into a draw to win two tickets to anywhere WestJet flies!
