The Surrey Board of Trade, as part of their agricultural industry advocacy, will present the 3rd Surrey Agriculture Leadership Awards on November 21 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Surrey Arts Centre.
Nominations are open to individual or organization that has made a positive impact to Surrey’s agricultural industry.
“Surrey stands at a critical juncture to make the right decisions and investments to create economic opportunities for a generation and beyond. Surrey’s agriculture industry is at the foundation of those investments and innovations,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.
The winner will be chosen on the basis of their achievements and innovation in agriculture in the following competencies: innovative efforts to increase agricultural production, consumption of local products, long term protection of the agricultural land base in Surrey, viability of agricultural land, innovations in business management or technology, protection of agricultural assets and enhancement of policies that support and protect agriculture.
NOMINATION DEADLINE: Friday, October 18, 2019
AWARD CRITERIA:
1. Nominees can be individuals, companies, institutions, not-for-profit organizations, agencies, projects or programs.
2. Achievements must be recognizable and supported by evidence.
2. Must be based in Surrey.
