The Surrey Board of Trade, as Surrey’s city-building, non-partisan business organization, has launched the ‘Surrey Matters! in Federal Election 2019 – Please Vote’ Campaign.
“The Surrey Board of Trade wants more Surrey residents to vote,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “Voting is a privilege. Voting connects citizens with their political process. The simple act of marking a ballot tells our leaders what we think about decisions that affect our lives and our economy.”
The Surrey Board of Trade encourages all residents to vote on October 21st.
“Those that are seeking office need to also be aware of their role – as future public servants, that they are accountable to residents/taxpayers, and listen even when they may not agree with your perspective,” continued Huberman.
The Surrey Board of Trade is committed to increasing the number of voters in Surrey because Surrey Matters!
The Surrey Board of Trade through digital marketing tactics will promote the campaign through to election day.
The Surrey Board of Trade is hosting their local All-Candidates Dialogue on October 2nd for all federal party candidates from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Sheraton Hotel (15269-104 Avenue, Surrey, BC).
The Surrey Board of Trade has also hosted 4 out of 5 federal party leaders in separate Business Town Halls this year. “We are waiting for confirmation from the Liberal Party Leader.”
