- Surrey Board of Trade Events & Meetings Now Postponed till May 15
- Surrey Board of Trade Office Closed from March 17 to April 3
As a result of the Prime Minister’s statement on COVID-19 on March 16, the Surrey Board of Trade has again made a very difficult, but necessary decision to further reschedule events and meetings until May 15. In addition, the Surrey Board of Trade office will close from March 17 to April 3.
“The Surrey Board of Trade will be shifting all staff work plans to focus on business support, through remote and technology means. We know it is our responsibility to call each of our 6,000-member business contacts and be their concierge of connections to government and for other needed supports,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.
“The Surrey Board of Trade will be calling for specific government action and announcing general business impact survey results of what is happening in our local economy. We have direct federal, provincial and local government liaison contacts as well as other member expertise ready to help business – because we are all in this together to ensure our economy can get through this extraordinary situation. Businesses are counting on us to help them succeed during this unprecedented period of uncertainty and volatility.”
The Surrey Board of Trade again urges businesses and organizations to utilize our business continuity and crisis communication planning guides, which were released on February 14: https://businessinsurrey.com/policy/emergency-preparedness/.
