Usually around this time, the Surrey Board of Trade is preparing to welcome 500+ guests to their annual Seasonal Sizzle event for a night of networking, fun and support for a local charity. Realizing that there is no safe way to do that this year, the Surrey Board of Trade is launching the Seasonal Sizzle – A Very COVID Christmas – 30 Days of Giving Campaign in support of the Surrey Christmas Bureau and the Surrey Food Bank.
“We know that the requests for support from charities has increased exponentially as a result of the pandemic,” said Surrey Board of Trade CEO Anita Huberman. “That’s why from November 24th – December 23rd, we’re challenging local businesses and their teams to help make Christmas special for those in need.”
Cash donations can be made online directly through the Surrey Christmas Bureau and Surrey Food Bank websites. Donations of unwrapped toys or non-perishable food items can be dropped off at their respective depots or to the Surrey Board of Trade office.
The Surrey Board of Trade has set up a portal with information, links to donate and donation details at businessinsurrey.com/events/30-days-of-giving.
The campaign will be featured on the Surrey Board of Trade’s social channels:
Facebook and LinkedIn: Surrey Board of Trade
Instagram and Twitter: @SBofT
The campaign is supported by CKNW 980, Global BC, FortisBC, Hamilton Duncan, Kubera Payments, Murray Latta Progressive Machine and Sedai Law Office. If you’d like to be a campaign supporter, please contact heather@businessinsurrey.com.
