Surrey Business Leader Announced as Incoming Vice-Chair of the BC Chamber of Commerce

The Surrey Board of Trade is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Thomas, President and CEO of Surrey-based G3 Consulting Ltd., an environmental consulting and science firm, will be inducted as Vice-Chair of the BC Chamber of Commerce in May 2021.

“Dr. Thomas will take on this critical economic role given his unparalleled track record and expertise in government advocacy, especially as Surrey becomes the largest city in BC very soon,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.

“It is a privilege and honour to be selected by the BC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to serve as the next incoming Vice Chair. Our country and province are at a decisive time in our history and strong leadership is needed from our political and business leaders to ensure we emerge stronger and more resilient than ever. I look forward to working with the chamber/board of trade network to help shape the future of business in BC.”

Dr. Greg Thomas is the Immediate Past Board Chair and Governor for the Surrey Board of Trade; Director, Abbotsford International Airport; Committee Member, Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Indigenous Affairs and Environment/Natural Resources); current Chair of the Surrey Board of Trade’s Industry and International Trade Team; and Chair of the BC Chamber of Commerce Policy Governance Committee.

The BC Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business for British Columbia. It is the largest and most broadly-based business association in BC—representing more than 125 chambers of commerce and boards of trade, and 36,000 businesses of every size and from every sector and region of the province.
