Surrey Board of Trade Heads to India for G20/B20 Summit – August 24-27

The Surrey Board of Trade President & CEO will be travelling to Delhi, India for the G20/B20 Summit as part of a delegation organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, from August 24-27, 2023.

“The Surrey Board of Trade was the first board of trade/chamber of commerce to advocate for a Canada-India Free Trade Agreement, and has continued to chart an economic pathway in India for local businesses since our trade mission to India in 2011,” said Anita Huberman, President and CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “I am honored to be travelling to India with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to continue to put Surrey on the global economic map, as we meet with government and industry leaders.”

India officially assumed the G20 Presidency on December 1, 2022 taking over from Indonesia. B20 is the official G20 dialogue forum for the global business community to galvanize global business leaders for their views on issues of global economic and trade governance and speak in a single voice for the entire G20 business community. Throughout India’s G20 Presidency, the B20 India Secretariat, represented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), leads B20 activities.
