Surrey Board of Trade Pleased with Provincial Investment in Surrey’s Manufacturing Sector

The BC Government has invested in Punjab Milk Foods to build a new dairy-processing facility to increase its production capacity and create jobs in Surrey.

“We are thankful for the BC Government’s contribution of $7.5 million through the BC Manufacturing Jobs Fund for Punjab Milk Foods,” said Anita Huberman, President & CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “This investment will continue to protect jobs in Surrey, enhance our economic viability, and create food sustainability in Canada. Surrey has the greatest number of manufacturers in BC, and this investment will help not only Surrey but all of Canada remain competitive towards a resilient economy and form a solid pathway towards a sustainable manufacturing industry.”

The BC Manufacturing Jobs Fund supports private sector businesses to plan and launch shovel-ready, high-value industrial and manufacturing projects that bring direct benefits and stable, family-supporting jobs to communities.
