The Surrey Board of Trade (Surrey International Trade Centre) will be attending and speaking at the Smart City Summit in Taipei, Taiwan. The event takes place from March 19-22, 2024.
“I look forward to showcasing Surrey and the Metro Vancouver region, with Invest Vancouver, Metro Vancouver’s regional economic development service, in Taiwan,” said Anita Huberman, President & CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “We are looking for co-location opportunities and to bring awareness to the unique industries and partnerships that can be created.”
Global trips are important to explore potential international business opportunities and help create networks of buyers, agents, suppliers and key government contacts. They provide a low‑risk, low‑cost market‑entry vehicle for businesses and government officials to explore a range of opportunities.
The Taiwan Smart City Summit and Expo is Asia’s largest smart city trade show featuring the most comprehensive Internet of Things solutions, offering a cross-industry platform for governments and businesses. The Smart City Summit and Expo, along with the 2050 Net Zero City Expo, connects global urban forces and takes action in implementing digital and green transformations for businesses and cities. Through showcasing numerous solutions and exchanging experiences, smart technology can address issues related to urban transportation, healthcare, and the environment, ultimately making our homes a better place.
“This will help in our goal to make Surrey a technology destination.”
Other Surrey Board of Trade Global Trips are also planned for Mexico in April and Ireland in May.
