Surrey Board of Trade Awarded $5,000 Grant from Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture & Sport for South Asian Heritage Museum Consultation Session

The Surrey Board of Trade is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture & Sport to host a crucial consultation session. This facilitated in-person event aims to gather insights and perspectives from participants representing the LGBTQ2SI+, BIPOC, South Asian, and business communities regarding the proposed South Asian Heritage Museum, an initiative spearheaded by the BC Provincial Government.

Scheduled to take place in the vibrant city of Surrey, this consultation session is a pivotal step towards ensuring inclusivity and representation within the planning and development of the South Asian Heritage Museum. The input gathered from diverse voices will play a significant role in shaping the vision, content, and programming of this cultural landmark.
