The 2025 Federal Election is set to take place on Monday, April 28. This election will redefine Canada’s leadership at a time of global uncertainty and economic shifts. The Surrey Board of Trade, the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce and the South Asian Business Association of BC are pleased to provide an opportunity on April 15 for voters to hear directly from candidates in all six ridings in Surrey and White Rock about their plans, compare platforms, and make informed choices that will impact their businesses, families, and daily lives.
“This is one of the most consequential elections of our time. With ongoing threats to our economy and sovereignty by President Trump, and challenges such as affordability, infrastructure, and healthcare access, voters need to hear firsthand how candidates plan to address these concerns. Surrey and White Rock are growing communities with diverse needs, and their concerns need to be heard,” said Indra Bhan, Interim CEO and COO of the Surrey Board of Trade.
“To thrive amid strong competition and tariff challenges, Surrey and White Rock need long-term business investment, job creation, and economic growth. That’s why we’re calling on all local main party candidates to join our candidates event on April 15 – not just to share their election promises, but to demonstrate how they will remain accountable to Surrey and White Rock throughout their entire term in office.”
The Surrey Board of Trade and South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce are non-partisan business organizations. Their role is to instigate change at the different levels of government with any political or public servant in office. The Surrey Board of Trade and South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce host these discussions with political candidates for every election because it’s important to understand their vision for Surrey and White Rock’s business communities.
