Surrey Labour Market Priorities Project
The Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT), with BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction funding, has undertaken the research and development of a Surrey Workforce Strategy to determine Surrey’s current and anticipated labour market demand, supply and gaps for the next ten years. The Project will culminate in a report identifying key trends and needs and a strategy for working with employers and other partners in Surrey to address priority labour market needs. A summary of the key findings of the research and of the vision, goals and strategies and implementation of the Surrey Workforce Strategy will be made available for the public and stakeholders for reference on this webpage.
SBOT retained PEERs Consulting to manage this project and created a Steering Committee to advise on the strategy development. It also retained Human Capital Strategies (HCS) to conduct the research, engagement, strategy development and business implementation planning on SBOT’s behalf.
The Surrey Workforce Strategy report will be released at the Surrey Board of Trade 7th Manufacturing Industry Reception on October 17, 2019. The report along with other accompanying documents and resources will then be made public on this site. Stay tuned for lots more!
