A Made in Surrey Workforce Strategy 2019-2029
The Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT), with BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction funding, has undertaken the research and development of a Surrey Workforce Strategy to determine Surrey’s current and anticipated labour market demand, supply and gaps for the next ten years. The Project culminated in a report that identified key trends and needs and a strategy for working with employers and other partners in Surrey to address priority labour market needs.
SBOT retained PEERs Consulting to manage this project and created a Steering Committee to advise on the strategy development. It also retained Human Capital Strategies (HCS) to conduct the research, engagement, strategy development and business implementation planning on SBOT’s behalf.
“A Made in Surrey Workforce Strategy” report was released at the Surrey Board of Trade 7th Manufacturing Industry Reception.
